AN EXCLUSIVE GUEST HOUSE
This unique place offers you the exclusive use of the entire house, even if you book only one room. It's the perfect refuge for those who cherish their privacy and prefer not to share spaces with strangers. With its two bedrooms, bathroom, and a small kitchen with a balcony, Retromantico is ideal for families or groups of friends. By booking just one room, the other will remain closed and unavailable.
A COZY ENVIRONMENT
Located on the second floor of a building with an elevator, this 60 sqm space is dedicated solely to our guests. The shabby-chic furnishings and creative recycling blend seamlessly into an atmosphere that combines simplicity with elegance. Let the light streaming in through the windows envelop you as you admire the two bedrooms. The "ANTICA" room is romantic and shabby, with shades of antique pink creating a warm and inviting ambiance. The "MIMOSA" room is a double with side-by-side beds, framed by a soft ciel de lit, designed for travel companions or your children.
STRATEGIC LOCATION
Retromantico is the ideal starting point for your explorations. It's only 700 meters from the Politecnico, close to university campuses, and a short distance from the historic center. Moreover, it's outside the restricted traffic zone and well-served by public transportation with stops right around the corner. If you arrive by car, you can park conveniently.
SERVICES
We've thought of everything to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. Whether or not there's air conditioning in the summer, a fan will be sufficient to cool the space. Wi-Fi is available to stay connected with friends and family, search for information, or enjoy a movie or music. Retromantico is more than just a guest house; it's a place where you can savor your morning coffee in the comfort of your room or unwind in the evening with a cup of tea or a steaming herbal infusion. The regional regulations do not allow breakfast in accommodation facilities like Retromantico. However, to make your wake-up more enjoyable, you will find in the small kitchen my "Guest Courtesies": if you don't like going to the bar right after waking up, you can prepare yourself a coffee or a cup of tea to sip while sitting in your room, accompanied by a small treat that, yes, will be packaged, but has been carefully chosen to provide you with quality and a taste of my territory.

Welcome to Retromantico, a place where life took an unexpected turn and began an exciting adventure.
After my studies in biology and a fascinating research experience, followed by a year in a hospital ward and social service, I found myself in a "stable" job that seemed destined to last forever, even though it didn't truly belong to me and didn't bring happiness. Then, one day, an accident marked a turning point in my life. I firmly believe that nothing happens by chance, and so, thanks to a series of coincidences, in 2012, I opened my small guest house.
I envisioned this place with retro furnishings and details that evoke the charm of Provence. Many items were salvaged and restored by me, while others were patiently sought out in flea markets, and some were purchased and harmoniously integrated into the environment or custom-made. The guest house is in constant evolution, and from time to time, something changes following the flow of my thoughts.
My precious husband and my family, along with lifelong friends, supported me in this venture. Each of them made a significant contribution, putting a piece of themselves to create this welcoming nest. My father helped me with furniture restoration, sharing family memories, and together with my husband, we are always ready with nails and hammer for every new project. My mother dedicated time to finding linens, discovering cups and saucers with a Provençal charm among the pieces in her dowry. My Aunt Laura, with her sewing skills, created curtains, valances, and bedspreads.
Upon your arrival, it will be me, Emanuela, who will greet you and extend a warm welcome. I personally selected the bed linens, prepared your room, and arranged a small gift on the table. Everything is ready for your stay at Retromantico.
Welcome to the San Paolo neighborhood, a lively semi-central area of Turin that still retains the charm of a village, enriched with shops and supermarkets. This area is also convenient for parking if you arrive by car. Additionally, the Politecnico, which is just 700 meters away, is easily reachable on foot.
HOW TO GET HERE
BY CAR
Our location is outside the Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL) and the paid blue parking area. In case you don't find parking right in front of the property, there is a large free, albeit unattended, parking area just a few meters away.
If you're coming from the North Ring Road, take the exit for Corso Regina Margherita.
If you're coming from the South Ring Road, you can choose between the exits for Corso Unità d'Italia or Corso Allamano.
BY PLANE
Sandro Pertini Airport is approximately 20 kilometers away from our location. You can opt for a taxi, which typically costs around €30 for the journey from the airport to the city center. A more economical alternative is the SADEM Bus, located in front of the arrivals exit at the airport. This bus connects the airport to the city center, with stops at the Porta Susa and Porta Nuova train stations. The travel time is approximately 45/50 minutes, with buses running every 15/30 minutes. The ticket costs €6.50 and can be purchased at ticket counters or from vending machines. If you purchase it onboard the bus, there will be a €1 surcharge.
BY TRAIN
If you're arriving by train, from Porta Susa Station, you can reach us on foot with a short 20-minute walk or use bus lines 10/15/56.
From Porta Nuova Station, take bus line 33 (terminus in front of the station), which will conveniently bring you to your destination.
